Criminality and Elements Marie Lounge Introduction to Criminality Ms. Marlene Ramsey March 2, 2014 Criminality and Factors Criminality is a intricate issue that can be viewed by many different vantage points. When i can find bits of truth inside the life study course theory, I am inclined to relate even more to the important trait theory. The latent trait theory proposes that you have certain characteristics or qualities that are present at birth (or established extremely early in life) that remain stable throughout lifestyle. Some of these attributes can be viewed as unfavorable or faulty, and improve the likelihood the particular one engages in felony activity. While parenting and opportunity can play a part in committing offences, according to the valuable trait theory, the propensity pertaining to an individual to commit a crime remains practically stable more than a lifetime due to the negative or defective characteristics. The valuable trait theory seems to be supported by an assortment of evidence. Those who are involved in criminal activity at an early age anytime tend to persevere in their illegitimate ways very well into adult life and past. It is no secret that the majority of inmates in correctional facilities about the country are recidivists. In accordance to a 06\ Organized Crime Digest, 56 of violent felons are repeat offenders. (Anonymous, 2006) This appears to support the idea that something that have been well established can be causing these individuals to engage in activities that they can know happen to be morally incorrect or illegal. Personality disorders are seen in the mental world because constant and very resilient to treatment. Many of these disorders, such as antisocial personality disorder and borderline individuality disorder, will be characterized by energetic behavior.
